Description

Distilled in 2017 and matured for seven years in a single first-fill bourbon barrel, this expression perfectly captures Torabhaig’s "well-tempered peat" philosophy, balancing maritime smoke with creamy American oak. The nose is a bracing mix of sea spray and wood ash, softened by a generous dollop of vanilla custard and a twist of lemon zest. On the palate, expect a collision of charred orchard fruits and toasted marshmallows against a backdrop of cracked black pepper and drying oak, before finishing with a long, smouldering trail of kippers and wood spice. Only 194 bottles were drawn from the cask for this 2025 release, making it a fleeting encounter with one of Scotland's most exciting new coastal distilleries.
