Description

Distilled in November 2016 and matured for eight years, this whisky underwent a transformative finish in a single Malvasia Madeira barrique before being bottled in August 2025. Malvasia (or Malmsey) is the sweetest type of Madeira Wine balancing minerality and oxidative complexity with the fruit sugars the grape. The interplay between the distillery's earthy Highland peat and the luscious, sun-drenched sweetness of the fortified wine cask creates a remarkably dynamic spirit. Only 300 bottles were released from cask #22008011/2016, making this limited edition a unique find for those seeking peat with a Mediterranean twist. A very enjoyable dram!
