Description

Founded in 1898 on the edge of the Grampians, Ardmore is Highland peat done the traditional way: firm smoke without the heavy coastal iodine. Thompson Bros. selected two refill barrels to keep the distillate front and centre, then bottled at 48.5% ABV in 70 cl for easy, characterful drinking. The nose balances ember smoke, heather honey and citrus peel; the palate brings toasted barley, vanilla cream and gentle ash; the finish is long, dry and lightly spicy. Limited to 588 bottles, this is Ardmore’s sturdy, unfussy charm in a focused small batch. Label artwork by KMG (Kelsey Montague).
