Description

Distilled in 1999 and bottled by Thompson Bros., this 25-year-old Ardmore was married from 2× refill hogsheads to keep wood in the background and let the crisp, kiln-smoked malt take the lead. Bright yellow-fruit aromas with a lightly “farmy” edge and hints of fennel and mineral, moving to grilled stone-fruit and citrus on a creamy palate, then a finish that folds in dark chocolate, biscuit-like sweetness and a gentle ash. 48.9% ABV, 70 cl, natural colour and non-chill-filtered. A precise and powerful Ardmore that shows smoke, fruit and structure in balance. Artwork by KMG.
