Description

The nose is a pungent mix of coal tar, singed rubber, and lemon zest—a profile resulting from Loch Lomond’s unique straight-neck stills that allow for precise control over heavier phenolic compounds. On the palate, the high-octane strength carries a dense, oily texture filled with notes of campfire embers, salted licorice, and a sweetness reminiscent of charred marshmallows from the bourbon barrel. The finish is long and unapologetically dirty, leaving a soot-covered trail of earthy peat and cracked black pepper from the 218 bottles yielded from Cask #265.
