Description

Distilled in 2013 and matured for eleven years, this expression was finished in a single Fino hogshead, a cask type famously temperamental but rewarding for those who enjoy a mineral-driven dram. The nose is a bracing walk along a rain-swept pier, offering scents of green olives, lemon oil, and a steady plume of medicinal peat smoke. On the palate, the Fino influence shines through with notes of salted almonds and crisp green apples, all wrapped in a blanket of smouldering driftwood and white pepper. It’s a wonderfully lean and focused whisky that concludes with a long, drying finish of ashy oak and a lingering citric tang. Only 301 bottles were drawn from cask #315286 in 2025, making this a rare find for Islay fans looking for a fresh, coastal perspective.
