Description

This is the first WITL bottling where the alcohol has been reduced to 46%. When tasted at cask strength, the explosive energy made it almost unreadable and yet the great potential was perceptible. Tamed before bottling so that it can offer an accessible experience. 

A peated Speyside Single Malt is not typical and yet Benriach has always known how to use its malt kilns to produce a gentle peat. The result is extremely subtle and totally incorporated into the whisky. A Speysider with coastal-like influence.

Banyuls, this sweet French red wine is an experience in itself. Its contribution to the whisky is captivating. If you are not familiar with this wine, we encourage you to discover it. 

As the Founder of WITL, Salim said: “Using a Banyuls barrique is something special for me as I really like this type of sweet red wine from the South of France. I also appreciate Benriach for its ambivalent profile. That's what I truly love about this whisky.”

This is a pleasant whisky with round and nutty notes from the cask and fresh white fruits with a hint of salted caramel from the distillate. Vivid and colorful as the label which shows a speckled newt from the Speyside. The name of the distillery means speckled hill. When it comes to WITL labels, there are no coincidences.
