Founded in 1812 near Nairn, Royal Brackla was the first Scotch distillery to receive a Royal Warrant (1835), earning the “Royal” prefix that still sets it apart. This 2011 vintage spent a full decade in a recharred butt, concentrating colour and oak influence before bottling at 48.5% ABV in 70 cl. The single-cask outturn is 727 bottles, making it a concise snapshot of Brackla’s regal style in a more assertive oak frame. Expect a confident Highland profile led by malt richness and firm, toasted-oak spice—the hallmarks you’d anticipate from recharred cooperage—delivered with the natural intensity of a 10-year cask maturation. The label features original artwork by KMG (Kelsey Montague) — see the artist’s profile here: kmgyeah.com/about-wexley
