Description

Don't let the "Blended Malt" label fool you; this is a single-cask-quality expression designed for flavour purists. Distilled on 29th March 2017, this fiery young spirit was immediately paired with Oloroso Sherry Hogsheads. This choice created a stunning conflict: the powerful, medicinal smoke of the coast meeting the opulent, sun-drenched fruits of Jerez. The distilleries? Two coastal peat houses with 17 stills altogather. 

Bottled on 24th January 2024 at a robust 50.0% Vol. (70cl), this liquid delivers maximum authenticity. Claxton's presents it as Natural Colour and Non-Chill Filtered—the full, uncompromised cask experience.

Flavour Profile: Campfire Meets Caramel

The nose is a beautiful mix of rich peat smoke, roasted nuts, and dark chocolate. On the palate, the powerful, aggressive smoky notes of ash and black pepper are perfectly balanced by the sweet, rich sherry of stewed plums and spiced caramel. The finish is long, powerful, and utterly memorable: lingering smoke meets nutty sherry and a beautiful, salty minerality.

This is a battle of sherry and peat where you are the only winner. Add this smoky beast to your collection.
