A modern Highland cult-favourite: a waxy, fruit-forward blended malt built on Clynelish, lifted by 24.9% Dornoch, and kissed with a microscopic drop of 1982 Brora. Bottled at 48.5% and limited to 1,040 bottles, this is Sutherland in a glass.

Each year the Thompson brothers blend a small parcel of Sutherland malts and rest the result back in cask. For 2024, they scaled to 1,020 bottles and increased the proportion of their own Dornoch single malt to 24.9%, with the remainder drawn from multiple 2015–2016 Clynelish casks and a whimsical 0.0089% thread of 1982 Brora. The components include refill hogsheads, an oloroso quarter cask, and a Dornoch PX butt; once vatted the whisky was returned to a refill sherry butt (“Momo”), ex-Dornoch and ex-Clynelish casks to settle before bottling at 48.5%, non-chill-filtered and natural colour. The profile is classic Sutherland: waxy texture, coastal freshness and bright orchard/tropical fruit; think hay, salted milk chocolate, gooseberry and wildflowers carried on a supple, lightly sweet palate that remains unmistakably Highland. A characterful small-batch malt blended, matured and bottled at Dornoch — generous, distinctive and built for sharing.
