Description

This exciting double-matured bottling was filled in a bourbon barrel and spent several years there to be enriched by the aromas of smooth buttery vanilla. Then it was filled in a Palo Cortado sherry cask - a quite unusual choice - which added layers of complexity with sultana, liquorice and saltiness. The aftertaste is long and warming with herbs. A unique and expertly matured Balblair.
