Description

The Glenrothes Distillery, laying hidden on the shore of river Spey, produces award winning single malt whisky of exceptional quality. A combination of many factors - including unusually slow distillation process in tall copper pot stills - deliver a characteristic sweet, fruity and elegant spirit.This single cask bottling was distilled in 2007 and was matured in a refill Sherry butt for no less than 13 years. It is faded bronze in colour, fruity and spicy on the nose. Candied ginger gives way to orange and raspberry jam on the palate culminating in a warm and oaky finish with berries emerging. Another great Adelphi bottling that shows the best side of the spirit with an impeccable maturation.
