On the palate, the massive proof carries a rich, honeyed sweetness that quickly gives way to a fiery landscape of black pepper, clove, and cooling mint. The finish is long and warming, leaving a drying grip of leather, dark chocolate, and persistent baking spices from the 172 bottles produced from Cask #9.
