Description

Distilled at the small, hand-built Speyside Distillery near Kingussie, this 1995 vintage spent its whole life in a refill sherry butt, allowing the delicate house style to stay front and centre while long maturation added quiet depth. In the glass it’s poised and mature: gentle dried fruits and orange peel over honeyed malt, polished oak and almond, then soft baking spice and a touch of mineral lift. The finish is long, clean and composed, carrying marmalade, light nuttiness and fine tannin. Bottled unchill-filtered and at natural colour, this is a rare, age-statement glimpse of a distillery whose stocks are increasingly limited.
