Distilled in 1997 and bottled by Thompson Bros. in 2024, this 27-year-old keeps wood influence measured so the spirit leads. Refill casks preserve a clean, orchard-fruit core over honeyed malt and polished oak, while the distillery’s seaside setting adds a faint briny lift. On the nose, gentle apples and pears meet almond and a whisper of sea air; the palate is silky with citrus peel, soft stone fruit, nougat and light baking spice; the finish is long, tidy and refreshing, drifting into orange marmalade with a delicate mineral snap. 52.3% ABV, natural colour, unchill-filtered — a poised, unhurried Speyside.
