Description

A peated Knockdhu at its best. Single cask whisky from this distillery is almost impossible to find. This was the first time the perfectionist tasting panel of Chapter 7 decided to bottle one. 

16 years of maturation in an excellent cask integrated the delicate Speyside peat wonderfully in the heavy body of the spirit allowing some brine, fruits, earthy and salty notes to shine through. Black tea, oak, caramel and citrus peel in the finish. This is an eye-wateringly honest presentation of the potential of this lesser-known distillery. We wish every Knockdhu distillate would have the same fate! 

This is Chapter 7 Operation Manager Alan’s favorite. And believe me: Alan knows his whisky.
